Arrival day: Arrival, arrival, possibly first orientation meeting in the evening
Day 1: Introduction to drawing materials and techniques, black and white and coloured
Drawing techniques, pencil, charcoal, graphite, chalks, papers
- The motif and its realisation
- Approaches, motif finder and other aids
- Stroke and line, object and surroundings, hatching
- Further preliminary exercises
- Object and nature studies
- Own creative space
- Daily work reviews
2nd day Introduction to the material and technique of colourful sketching and painting

- Possibility to take part in the "Art-Making-Course" 15:00-17:00 in Puntagorda
Day 3 Perspective, very simple!
- One-point, two-point perspective, horizon, colour perspective, spatial illusion
- Further exercises
- Perspective of a picturesque row of Palmerian houses in Tazacorte
4th day at leisure
- e.g. excursion to the caldera nature reserve, hiking tour, rest day at the beach, city shopping in the capital, dolphin-watching tour, etc.
- Possibility to take part in the "café drawing course" 11:00-13:00 in Los Llanos
Day 5 Excursion to El Tablado, a typically forgotten picturesque village
- Sketches and studies
6th day free work, documentation, preparation for the final presentation
and conclusion
- Creating signposts, continuing on your own path and exploring your individual artistic expression
- Small final presentation of your work
- Motivation and appreciation session
- Conclusion
followed by the possibility of an in-depth week with individual focus and personal support

Accommodation
Please organise your own accommodation. There are many accommodation options in all price ranges and for all requirements.
I would be happy to send you some options or further websites.
It would make sense to book in the Los Llanos or Tazacorte area.
There are many small holiday homes that participants could share. Please write to me if you are interested.
Flights
Flights must be booked independently. Important: book to La Palma SPC (not to Palma de Mallorca, not to Las Palmas, Gran Canaria). Possible airlines for direct flights: easyJet, Condor, Iberia. From Switzerland: Edelweiss. Bargain hunters sometimes have luck with one-way flights with stopovers in Mallorca, Gran Canaria and Tenerife.
Food
In the places where we work and create, there are restaurants for lunch and dinner, as well as supermarkets where we can eat together or individually and stock up on supplies as desired.
Materials
I bring all the materials needed for the course day, but you are welcome to bring your own drawing/painting supplies. Here you can find the materials we work with.
I also sell high-quality drawing and painting materials.
Personal items
don't forget good shoes (sturdy shoes are enough), sun hat, sun protection, small rucksack

Places
on La Palma, Canary Islands, mainly in the west of the island: Los Llanos, Tazacorte, El Tablado,
mainly on the beach, by the sea, in cafés, in picturesque villages and towns,
in bad weather (which hardly ever happens) in seminar rooms

Car hire
Not essential if your accommodation is in Los Llanos or Tazacorte or near a bus stop. But it is easier with a hire car, of course. Please feel free to ask me about car hire.

395,-€ seminar fee (excluding accommodation and flights) (with club card 220,-€)
Single day: 80,-€ (with club card 45,-€)

Follow-up intensive week approx. 20 hours 520,-€ (excluding accommodation, flight, hire car)
This week can also be booked independently of the basic course.

Terms of payment
Deposit 50€, due upon enrolment

Guarantee, cancellation
The provider reserves the right to cancel the course up to 4 weeks before the start of the course, no recourse can be taken. All advance payments will be refunded within 5 days
​
Cancellations
If a course is cancelled by the participant up to 4 weeks before the start of the course, the course fee paid minus the deposit will be refunded within 5 days, in the case of cancellations 2-4 weeks before the start of the course, 50% of the course fee will be refunded, from 2 weeks the payment cannot be refunded.Cancellation by the hotel is free of charge up to 4 weeks before the start of the course.
Insurance cover
Please provide yourself with all the insurance you need, e.g. travel insurance. There is no insurance cover from the provider.
